Project Description:
Nestled in the heart of the lush tropical Guanacaste, Casa Salamandra showcases a modern tropical feeling that perfectly complements its natural surroundings. The sleek, minimalist design features bold color blocking and voluminous shapes that make a dramatic statement against the verdant greenery.
One of the features of this home is the way the architecture adjusts to the slope of the terrain. Instead of trying to level the land, Salvaje Studio worked with the natural contours to create a series of interconnected volumes that flow harmoniously together. This approach not only reduces the environmental impact but also allows for more interesting spatial arrangements and a greater sense of connection to the landscape.
At the center of the home is a striking spiral staircase that serves as a focal point and a work of art in itself. The staircase leads up to the bedrooms, which boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle.
Throughout the home, natural light pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the interior spaces and creating a sense of openness and tranquility. Whether lounging in the living room or cooking in the open-concept kitchen, the views from every angle are truly breathtaking. From the misty mountains in the distance to the lush foliage just outside the window, every detail has been carefully considered to maximize the sense of place and immersion in the natural surroundings.
In conclusion, this architectural project seamlessly integrates modern design with the tropical environment, resulting in a unique living space that embodies both form and function. With its striking color blocking, voluminous shapes, concrete accents, and breathtaking views, this home invites residents to fully embrace and appreciate the beauty of surroundings.
